Support for Mike Cercone's Final Journey

I’m so sorry that most of you have to find out this way about my uncle, Mike Cercone. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with pancreatic metastatic stage 4 cancer on May 2nd. The type of cancer he has is extremely aggressive. So aggressive, that we couldn’t even start treatment because he took a turn for the worst this past week. We were trying to hold off telling people because his mom, my grandmother, is still alive. We did not want her to find out until we had a treatment plan. Sadly, she had to find out because he is deteriorating by the hour. It’s not much time before he goes to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus!

My uncle talks about all of his wonderful friends and family. He knows the love you have poured into his life over the years. Please know that he said these words to me 2 weeks ago. “I have been blessed to have made it longer in this life than most of my friends. There is not one thing that I haven’t done. I’ve done everything I set out to do in life and for that I’m so blessed. I have an amazing family and wonderful friends. I don’t want anyone to be sad for me.”

During this difficult time for my family, we are asking for any type of donations. He did not have life insurance and we want to make sure we lay him to rest the way he would want. We hate to even have to ask anyone for anything. We will be sure to let everyone know of the details for his celebration of life in the near future. For now, his pain is under control and he is with our family around the clock.
