Our unborn son, Mickey Byle, has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and serious heart condition. When Mickey is born, he will need immediate open-heart surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by two more surgeries in his first year of life. As parents, we are preparing for a long and difficult journey, knowing that every moment will be dedicated to giving Mickey the best possible chance at life.

During this time, both of us will be unable to work as we stay by Mickey’s side through surgery and recovery. We are facing months without income, and the financial strain is overwhelming. We need help covering rent, utility bills, food, and the many unforeseen expenses that come with caring for a child with a critical illness. We are also preparing for the possibility of funeral expenses, though we remain hopeful and focused on Mickey’s fight. With little support beyond each other, we are reaching out to our community for help.
