Support for Michelle’s cancer treatment
On January 15, 2021, at only 35 years old, Michelle was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Grade 2 breast cancer. The tumor is only about 9mm, and so far there is no sign of spread, so hopefully treatment will be quick and effective. She is hoping to be able to get treatment in Fargo through the cancer center, but this will increase her medical and travel expenses, so hopefully this will help! She will meet with the surgeon in Grand Forks on January 29th, and will know more then! She has also requested a referral to see Dr. Kaster at the Edith Sanford Cancer Center in Fargo, ND in hopes she can get a more palliative care team focused on more positive long term health outcomes and prevention of reoccurrence.
Michelle’s two daughters, Karissa (15) and McKenzie (12), have been strong through this confusing process and continue to offer their support and love to their mom as she faces this uphill battle, so feel free to reach out to them through social media and offer some kind words.
Michelle and all of her family would greatly appreciate positive thoughts, words of encouragement, prayers of recovery, and notes of well wishes! The power of positivity and prayer can move mountains and create miracles!!!
