For more than 27 years, Michael Dovick has stood on the front lines of community safety and youth intervention. As a medicolegal death investigator and a longtime professional who worked directly with gang-involved youth at both the city and county levels, Michael has dedicated his life to protecting the most vulnerable and giving young people a path out of violence and despair.

Recently, Michael was diagnosed with cancer and is now preparing for additional treatment, including a bone marrow transplant. The journey ahead is filled with uncertainty, and the diagnosis has brought significant medical expenses, loss of income, and a heavy emotional and physical toll on Michael and his family. Despite these hardships, Michael’s spirit remains strong, but the support of friends, family, and the community is more important than ever.
