My husband, Michael Lopez, passed away on October 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with kidney disease. He was our family’s sole provider, leaving me and our 14-year-old daughter to navigate this unimaginable loss. Now, in the midst of our grief, we’re faced with the challenge of arranging his funeral.

I’m currently a second-year MSW student at UCLA, studying full-time without an income. This situation has left us unprepared for the significant costs associated with Michael’s funeral. It’s so important to us to honor his memory with the loving farewell he deserves, a chance for us to say our final goodbyes.
