Emergency Support for Michael Fassel

Mikes family and I are raising money to help him with his medical bills, financial situation and to help support his son. He is fighting the
covid (delta) variant.

He has very little insurance, single father to a 10 year old. So here is the situation...
 
He was not felling well and he took a home test for covid, which came up positive. He was seen at a quick care and given antibotics for a
double ear infection and given cough and nausea medicine and sent him home. On thurs. July 29th he was rushed to Kent county hospital
as he could not breath.  Upon taken into care he was placed in the ICU and placed on a oxygen tube to get his o2 levels up.  Where he was the most critical patient they had. Kent county could not keep up with his steady decline.

He was then transferred to Rhode Island hospital, placed in the MICU-W and he has become their most critical patient. He was medically
incapacitated, intubated, then medically placed into a coma and medically paralyzed. All of this to give his body a chance to rest. His
levels were not improving ,and as a last resort, we were told he might need to go on an ecmo machine, which would stop his heart and lungs and circulate his blood and oxygenate his blood. So far, they did not put him on the emco machine. Trying every other option first.

Today Aug 2nd, he has been placed on dialysis, because his kidneys are failing. He has been confirmed to have covid pneumonia and still on the ventilator. His family is not allowed to visit him. He is still fighting for his life... not aware of the danger he truly is in right now. Because, he is still in the medical coma, on the breathing tube. There is talk today of maybe undoing the medication which is keeping him paralyzed. The doctors have confirmed permanent lung damage. Still not sure of damage done to his heart, which is very weak, and kidneys. His co2
levels are not being pushed out like they are supposed to, instead being Internalized. He has developed blood clots in his lungs.

He is looking at a long road ahead. If your able to give anything to aid in the bills he already has and the huge bills which are to come, all

We do not know what the outcome will be, we are all holding onto hope and praying for his recovery. Please keep Mike in your prayers and may he return to his family which loves him very much.
