On December 3rd, our dear friends Merry and Robert Barnas (Mom and Dad to those of us who have known them most of our lives) were involved in a devastating head-on collision that had left them both in critical condition. What should have been an ordinary day turned into a life-altering moment, and now with the support of an amazing medical staff, and lots of love and prayers, Merry and Robert are fighting with all their strength to recover.

Anyone who knows this couple knows how deeply they have poured love, kindness, and generosity into our community. They’ve always been the first to lend a helping hand—whether it was supporting local events, showing up for friends in need, or simply spreading joy wherever they went. They have touched countless lives, and now it’s our turn to walk beside them.
