“It is with deep sorrow that we share that our beloved son, Merrick, has returned to the loving arms of our Creator.

We find some comfort and peace in knowing the way Merrick walked through this life—with love, kindness, and gentleness. The light he brought into this world and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts.

We are devastated beyond words by this unimaginable loss. As we navigate the depths of our grief, we hope to do so with grace, compassion, and love, honoring Merrick and his beautiful spirit.

If you pray for our family and his friends, we ask that you please keep Merrick’s fiancée, Weconah, in your prayers as she, too, faces this unimaginable heartbreak. Please surround her with love, strength, and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

We respectfully ask for privacy, understanding, and compassion as our family and those closest to Merrick process this profound loss. We ask that you allow us the space and time to grieve, support one another, and navigate the difficult days ahead.
