I'm reaching out to you today with an urgent appeal to address a critical issue affecting Afghanistan: the escalating crisis of mental health among citizens, particularly women and children.

The harsh realities of this war-torn nation have left deep scars on the collective psyche, leading to a surge in mental health challenges exacerbated by poverty, lack of education, family conflicts, and social isolation. Sadly, access to mental health services in Afghanistan remains severely limited, leaving many, without the crucial care they desperately need.

In response to this pressing need, in collaboration with Stichting Keihan, we have undertaken the initiative to transform the Azizi family home in Kabul into a fully-equipped psychiatric facility: Axon Psychiatric Specialty Hospital. Over the past year we have been able to provide vital care and support to numerous individuals in need, with a significant focus on helping women and children overcome their mental health struggles.

However, the demand for our services continues to grow, particularly among the most vulnerable facing mental health issues. Despite our best efforts, we find ourselves unable to meet this increasing need alone.

That's why I'm turning to you, our compassionate community, for support. By coming together and pooling our resources, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those grappling with mental illness in Afghanistan. Your contribution, no matter how small, will bring hope and healing to countless individuals in need.

As a member of the Azizi family and former resident of the property which is now a psychiatric clinic, my uncle Sedat Azizi will work with Axon Psychiatric Hospital to coordinate who would benefit most from financial support. Afterwards, the money will be transferred directly to the hospital to pay the outstanding costs of treatments performed.
