On Sunday, March 1st, our hearts were shattered as we said goodbye to our mom, Melody Burgess. After bravely fighting metastatic liver cancer for several years, she passed away surrounded by the people who loved her most.
She was a fighter in every sense of the word. She endured countless surgeries, hospital stays, treatments, and setbacks — yet through it all, she praised God. She fought so hard to stay with us, and we are so proud of her courage.
She is survived by her mother and her four children, and 4 grandchildren, who were her entire world.
