This is Melissa Buckley’s daughter, Hannah. Back at the end of October, my mom was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in her breast and lymph nodes (Triple Negative Breast Cancer). She started treatment at the beginning of December. At the end of January, she had a treatment that put her into the hospital due to a skyrocket in her blood sugar levels. She spent 5 days in the hospital and left the hospital as a Type 1 Diabetic.
This is a link to her CaringBridge page if you would like to read details of what has happened up to this point:
Due to her time in the hospital, the cancer treatments, and the cost of insulin, the bills continue to stack up for my mom. Because of needing to take time off for treatments, my mom no longer has any sick days at work. The bills keep coming in and it's started to get very overwhelming. My mom is someone who does a very good job of taking care of herself and her family, but tends to have a hard time asking for help from people, especially in this way. As she continues to go through this treatment plan, she will continue to need to take unpaid days off of work. If you feel compelled in any way to donate, then it would be greatly appreciated.
