In the early morning of April 17th, Melissa George, Rustin Neuberger, and Mike Richter’s world changed forever when Andrew James Neuberger, just 21 years old, was killed in a motorcycle accident — on dry roads, without warning, without reason. He was young. And he was taken far too soon.

Andrew grew up alongside his mom through every chapter of her life, and he loved his little siblings -Wes, Bryn, Addy, Kyleigh, Payton and Avery- with his whole heart. He was a big brother in every sense of the word. His Dad, Rustin, was one of his best friends. They loved hiking, snowboarding and road trips.

If you know Melissa, you know she is the kind of person who shows up, always. She’s the one calling to check on you, texting just to say she’s thinking of you, and loving the people in her life exactly as they are, no conditions attached. She gives endlessly and asks for nothing in return.

Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

No mother should have to navigate the unimaginable grief of losing a child and the weight of funeral expenses at the same time. We are asking anyone who loves Melissa, Mike, Rustin and their family — or simply believes that no family should face this alone — to contribute what you can.

Every dollar goes directly toward laying Andrew to rest with the dignity he deserves and giving his family one less burden to carry during the hardest days of their lives.
