Four years ago, my good friend Melissa experienced an unimaginable loss when her father passed away suddenly from cancer. Last night, her world shattered again — her mom, her best friend and biggest supporter, passed away from pneumonia and a heart attack.

Melissa’s mom was her everything — the person she leaned on through life’s challenges, especially as Mel has been quietly battling her own health struggles over the past few years.

Now, Melissa is facing the overwhelming weight of grief, loss, and the difficult road ahead. With so much to navigate — emotionally, mentally, and financially — I want to do whatever I can to ease some of the burdens she’s about to face.

This fundraiser is to help Melissa cover immediate expenses, whether it’s funeral arrangements, household costs, or simply giving her the space to grieve without the added stress of finances.
