Support for Melissa Crawford (Teale) & Her 5 Boys

On June 2, 2021, Melissa's entire world was turned upside down when her partner of 17 years, Josh, passed away unexpectedly.

Melissa and Josh first met in 2004 and went on to marry in 2007. While their adventure together started in Guelph, they eventually settled in Priceville in 2014. This move allowed the family to have space for their 5 beautiful boys. It was a place that they were able to realize their dreams together and watch their boys grow. Josh and Melissa were always opening their home and space to friends and family alike, offering respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. Wandering through the forest with Josh and Melissa, it was impossible not to see their vision for a life of increased self sustainability and adventures beyond measure for their family.

Anyone who knew Josh knows that he would be the first person to listen, offer comfort (or a joke) and would literally give the shirt off his back if he saw someone in need. He was an amazing father, husband and friend. His passing has left a gaping hole in the lives of all who knew him, especially for Melissa and their sons: Jacob (age 12), Samuel (age 10), Nicolas (age 9) and Ben and Matt (age 7).

If you have been blessed to know Melissa, you will know she is the first to show up and the last to leave when someone is in need. She has launched countless fundraisers for friends and community members, organized events, cooked and delivered meals and so much more. She has listened endlessly, offered her love and insight without reservation and has always given so generously of herself and her resources. Many will also know that Melissa is a warrior who deals with Multiple Sclerosis on a daily basis. Even after receiving this life altering diagnosis, Melissa continued to focus on her care of others, quietly continuing to be an incredible friend, partner and mother.

At a time like this, Melissa needs to be able to focus on the boys, her health and the journey of grief that they have so unexpectedly been thrust into. While times are tough for many, any amount is most appreciated by the family.
