Support for Melissa Broadbent & Family
Donazione protetta
As many of you may know on Wednesday 25th September, Brooke Kelly sadly passed away unexpectedly at age 24 due to a severe asthma attack which resulted in a cardiac arrest.

The following day Melissa (Brooke’s mum) at age 43, suffered a significant stroke at home. Melissa was taken via ambulance to Canberra hospital, where a CT scan was performed, and it revealed she had a large blood clot in her brain. Melissa was taken for emergency surgery to remove the clot. As a result of the stroke Melissa has paralysis on the left side of her body.
Doctors are hopeful that Melissa is going to recover well, but it will be a long road to recovery. Melissa will be transferred to the UC rehabilitation unit in a few weeks to start intense physical therapy where she will continue her recovery. Unfortunately, Melissa won't be able to return to work for an extended period.
The Broadbent & Kelly family is a loving & large blended family. Melissa is a busy mum, step mum and nan who will do anything for her family.
We would like to eliminate all the financial stress for this beautiful family, so they can focus on Melissa’s recovery and processing the grief of losing Brooke! The funds raised will go towards Brooke’s funeral and will contribute to the family’s ongoing medical and rehabilitation costs and living expenses while Melissa is recovering.
Melissa is a tenacious woman (as most that know her would know) and she will get through this…but this is going to be a long road for her and her family, and we need support from her community, both near and far. Please consider donating to this beautiful family.
Thank you for your support, love, and continued prayers during their time of need! xxx
