JUNTO A DIOS AYUDEMOS A MELANIA

Melania Avila de Romero es una encantadora abuela de 70 años, ella fue diagnosticada en Septiembre de 2018 con Linfoma No Hodgkin de Tipo Linfocitico, estadio IIEA.  Este estaba localizado a nivel submandibular.


El linfoma no Hodgkin (también conocido simplemente como linfoma o NHL, por sus siglas en inglés) es un cáncer que comienza en los glóbulos blancos llamados linfocitos que forman parte del sistema inmunitario del cuerpo.

El linfoma linfocítico bien diferenciado, tambien llamado linfoma indolente (de crecimiento lento) en el que se encuentran demasiados linfocitos (glóbulos blancos) inmaduros en los ganglios linfáticos. Esto hace que los ganglios linfáticos se vuelvan más grandes de lo normal. Esta enfermedad se presenta más a menudo en personas mayores de 50 años. 


En esa oportunidad Melania recibió tratamiento de radioterapia externa. Al finalizar este, ella comenzo de nuevo hacer su vida normal. 

Recientemente en el mes de diciembre 2019 la enfermedad regresó, es lo que los médicos llaman recidiva. Ahora a nivel ganglionar inguinal de su cuerpo, por lo cuál  ella amerita ser tratada con Quimioterapia. Su médico  tratante ha planificado seis (06) ciclos con el citostatico Bendamustina (Treanda, Ribomustina), el anticuerpo monoclonal Rituxan (Mabthera) el antiemetico Ondansetron, el esteroide Dexametasona, el antihistaminico Clorotrimetron, y el estimulante leucocitario Granocyete. Posteriormente Melania recibirá mantenimiento con Mabthera cada ocho (08) semanas por dos (02) años.


Actualmente es bien conocida a nivel mundial, la dificil situación por la que atraviesa Venezuela. Siendo el sector salud uno de los más afectados. Es por esto que el tratamiento de Melania casi en su totalidad debe ser adquirido en el Exterior, en moneda extranjera. Igualmente es bien conocido que los medicamentos Oncológicos son de alto costo en su mayoria, siendo este caso el tratamiento que ella requiere.

 Como se menciona al principio, Melania es una Abuela extraordinaria con muchas ganas de vivir y seguir compartiendo esa vida al lado de sus seres queridos. Juntos con la ayuda de Dios colaboremos en recuperar su Salud y que defitivamente este libre de esa terrible enfermedad.

At that time Melania was treated with external radiation therapy. When it was over, she began to live her life normally again.


Recently, in December 2019, the disease returned, which is what doctors call a relapse. Now at the inguinal ganglion level of her body, she deserves to be treated with Chemotherapy. Her treating physician has planned six (06) cycles with the cytostatic Bendamustine (Treanda, Ribomustine), the monoclonal antibody Rituxan (Mabthera) the antiemetic Ondansetron, the steroid Dexamethasone, the antihistamine Chlorotrimetron, and the leukocyte stimulant Granocyete. Subsequently, Melania will receive maintenance with Mabthera every eight (08) weeks for two (02) years.
