I am a middle school band teaching assistant and a newly single mother. With summer approaching, I won’t be working for two and a half months so I can be home with my 6-year-old son instead of putting him in child care. This time together is so important for both of us, but it also means I won’t have my usual income to rely on.

As a parent, my top priority is making sure my son feels safe, loved, and supported, especially during big changes like this. I want to give him a summer filled with stability and care, but the loss of income makes it difficult to cover our basic needs. The funds from this fundraiser will help us pay for rent, groceries, utilities, and other essentials while I’m not working.
