Aiden Sumpter was a gifted athlete with a shining personality and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a close friend to many in our small town, including my own son, and I had the privilege of coaching him on my baseball team for five years. During that time, our families grew close, and I saw firsthand the special bond Aiden shared with his mother, Megan, and his siblings. He was always surrounded by friends, traveling around town, playing sports, and bringing joy to everyone he met.

Tragically, Aiden’s life was cut short in an E-Bike accident. He suffered severe injuries and, despite the heroic efforts of medical staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, he did not survive. Megan, her children, and their family are now facing unimaginable grief, along with the financial strain of medical bills and funeral expenses. I want to ensure that Aiden receives the farewell he deserves and that Megan and his siblings have some support during this heartbreaking time.
