My name is Tiffany Colohan, and I am the owner of Infinite Horsemanship in Ojai, California.
We are raising funds to help cover the unexpected emergency veterinary and hospital costs for Meeko, our beloved lesson pony.
Meeko was 25 years old and worked with Infinite Horsemanship for nearly four years. He was patient, gentle, loving, and deeply trusted by our young students. Reliable and affectionate, Meeko had a quiet way of making people feel safe and supported, and he was truly special to our community.
Meeko’s eye infection began on November 16th. Despite veterinary care, his condition worsened and required referral to the hospital. He underwent surgery, but due to his age, he developed complications. The following day, he experienced a worsening fever, extreme pain, and discomfort consistent with colic. After every effort was made to keep him comfortable, we made the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully at the hospital. I was able to be with him during his final hours and through his transition.
The emergency care, hospitalization, surgery, and end-of-life services came on very suddenly, and the costs added up quickly. We are asking for help to cover these expenses so we can focus on honoring Meeko’s life and continuing to care for the horses and students he meant so much to.
Any support through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us give Meeko comfort, dignity, and love through the very end.
