It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Mayra Medina’s beloved 19-year-old son, Jorgie. His life was taken far too soon, and his loss has left a devastating void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Mayra is not only mourning the unimaginable loss of her child — she is also trying to stay strong for her other children. As a devoted mother, alongside her husband, Juan, Mayra has worked hard to provide a loving home and a better future for her children. Now, faced with this tragedy, they are navigating the most difficult chapter of their life while also doing their best to care for their other children, who are grieving the loss of their brother.

We are raising funds to help Mayra with the unexpected expenses that come with losing a child — including funeral and memorial costs — as well as giving her the time and space she needs to grieve without the added stress of financial hardship.
