Rosalva faced her illness with infinite optimism and fought with grace and strength until the very end, supported every step of the way by her lifelong partner, Mayela.

Rosalva and Mayela shared a lifetime of love-a bond that was evident to everyone who knew them. However, the time spent fighting this disease has taken a toll that goes beyond the emotional.
