Maya is one of my daughter’s best friends and a student at H Guy Child Elementary, where I served as PTA President. She’s a stellar student, a star athlete, and a tremendous big sister. On July 4th, during the Riverdale fireworks, a drunk driver ran into Maya and several of her cousins. Maya was trapped between two vehicles for some time, and when paramedics arrived, she was life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital. She now faces a long road ahead to heal, and her family is doing everything they can to support her.
The funds raised here will help Maya’s family cover lost wages, travel expenses to and from the hospital, medical bills, therapy expenses, and other costs that come with such a traumatic event. Her parents are focused on her recovery, but the financial burden is significant and unexpected. Your support will help ease some of that stress so they can concentrate on Maya’s healing.
Maya’s family is deeply grateful that she is alive. They have not asked for anything, but with a tragedy like this, they will incur expenses that will be a burden on their family. Any help is appreciated, and they welcome prayers for her recovery. Thank you for considering a donation to support Maya and her loved ones during this difficult time.
