This is Maya. Maya was a miracle long before she was born. She was a long-awaited child, deeply loved from the very first moment. From the start, she filled every room with joy, curiosity, and laughter. Maya was bright, incredibly smart, talented, and full of life. She loved to dance, sing her favorite songs, and draw colorful pictures. Her smile could light up anyone’s day.
Tragically, in September of 2024, Maya was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of brain cancer called DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma). It is a devastating diagnosis for any family, and from that moment on, Maya and her parents began the fight of their lives.
They pursued every possible option to help Maya live. Through radiation, clinical trials, hospital stays, and many difficult procedures, Maya faced everything with incredible courage. Despite the pain and uncertainty, she continued to show her beautiful spirit — smiling, creating art, and bringing love to everyone around her.

After fighting so bravely, Maya sadly passed away on March 16, 2026. She would have turned 7 this May.

No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their child. Along with unimaginable grief, Maya’s parents are now facing the unexpected financial burden of expenses for a funeral, burial, and mounting medical bills, especially when being forced into not working for the past almost two years to be at Maya's side 24 hours 7 days a week.

We are raising funds to help ease this burden and to properly lay Maya to rest and eternal peace. Any support, no matter the amount, will help her family focus on mourning their precious daughter and honoring her memory.

Maya’s life, though far too short, touched many hearts. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her love for animals, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.

If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for helping us honor Maya’s memory.
