Sunshine Fund to support the funeral expenses of Maya Moua

Laina Maya Moua lived a vibrant life, filled with dreams and aspirations she had yet to pursue. She painted her existence from the pages of a storybook, yearning to reach the life she desired. As a grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, she constantly envisioned ways to uplift her family and friends, allowing them to thrive.

Tragically, her life was abruptly cut short on July 5th. Maya concealed the darkness she faced, a struggle shared by many victims of domestic violence. Caught in a cycle that is incredibly difficult to break free from, she fought silently until she was taken away from us. In her final hours, we know she displayed immense bravery, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and compassion.

As we prepare to honor her memory, we humbly reach out to our community for support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help her children lay her to rest in her hometown of Green Bay. We deeply appreciate your kindness.
