Support for Max’s family

A situation that developed over the past 12 hours: Max was in a severe car accident yesterday and is now in the Foothills hospital with a number of life threatening injuries. I’m not sure where to go from here but it is what it is. Rosie is in the middle of provincial hockey playdowns, Jolon’s 16th birthday is tomorrow.

Like Max has always said: it’s not how careful you are as a driver. It’s all those other assholes out there you’ve gotta watch out for.

I haven’t really understood until now how accidents upend your life. Every day I recon and I say “I can’t work tomorrow. I have the hospital, I have the kids to connect with, Rosie has hockey. ”

And every morning I wake up exhausted.
