Meet Maverick, born 8.9.18  via emergency C-Section.  His mommy, Lindsey, had not felt him kick at all that morning.  Because of complications due to gestational diabetes, Maverick would need to be born immediately.   His father Travis, who was working an hour and a half away  made it just as they were checking his vitals in the incubator.   Maverick was not doing well, not moving as he should, respiration was poor.   It was not long before he was transferred, via ambulance, to Huntsville Hospital NICU, where he was quickly put on life support.  He was kept alive and his oxygen level began to stall and another emergency trip was needed to life flight this tiny little boy to Birmingham Children's Hospital NICU unit, where he is currently being treated.    There  is no word yet on when doctors think he will be released and say that, "It's all up to him!"

Maverick's father, Travis, has a job that requires him to be there to make money.  He works with his father, who is going to be helping him while away from his job.  Being self-employed benefits can be rough.  It was mentioned that Maverick may need to be at NICU for 4 weeks, but now with his diagnosis we have no idea how long he will be in NICU.   We're hoping that the $10,000.00 will cover 4 weeks of his employ, hotel and incidental needs for Travis and Lindsey - they've found a hotel that offers discounts for patients at the hospital and is clean and safe for the kids to visit.  It is also our thoughts that 2,000.00 of it would  get them a  head start on what will be a very large hospital bill for Maverick.    They had very good news that Maverick does have Alabama Children's BC/BS.  This is a huge blessing and relief.     We're hoping there will be some to put toward a medical fund for Maverick for the unknown costs that will surely be ahead of them.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our special new family member!  We would truly appreciate your prayers for provision for what's ahead and in joining us to give thanks to God for Maverick, His continued protection for he and his precious brothers, Brayden and Tanner, as well as Mom and Dad - Travis and Lindsey.
