On Saturday, December 13th, 2025, Mauricio was unexpectedly detained by ICE on his way to work through Waldo St in Englewood, NJ. This sudden event has placed an enormous burden on his family, who are now facing hefty legal fees to secure his release, as well as ongoing living expenses and the urgent need to move from their rental apartment by the end of February. The costs of moving and storage, along with car insurance and daily necessities, have created a challenging situation for his wife and children as they navigate this difficult time without him at home.
