Mauri Juarez was a beloved member of our family whose life was tragically changed at Lake Stanley Draper in Oklahoma City. On a recent day, Mauri jumped into the water to swim to his boat after it floated away near one of the boat ramps. The wind and water current pushed the boat further from him, and despite his efforts, he went under and did not resurface. A fisherman on the bank witnessed the incident and called for help. Emergency responders arrived quickly and worked tirelessly, performing chest compressions and doing everything they could to save Mauri. The accident happened near “point 1” at Draper Lake, not far from SE 119th and Stanley Draper Drive.

This sudden tragedy has left our family heartbroken and facing unexpected expenses. We are raising funds to help cover Mauri’s funeral services and to support his loved ones as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
