It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a loving parent who meant the world to their family. Their loss has left an immeasurable void, and the family is navigating overwhelming grief while also facing the unexpected costs of funeral and burial arrangements.

Maureen Burgess Obituary March 29 2026

Maureen Burgess, 56, of Spencer, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2026. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children, Brandon Velasquez, Tyler Velasquez, and Cam Velasquez; and her cherished grandchildren, Jayce Velasquez and Raelynn Velasquez. Sisters Cheryl & Linda. She was predeceased by her father, Walter Burgess Sr.; her mother, Jean Winnefred Burgess; and her brothers, Walter Burgess Jr. and Brian Burgess.

Maureen dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse and Reliamed Transportation, professions that reflected her generous spirit and deep empathy. Above all, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends. Moe loved Sunday dinners, holidays, and creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Calling hours will be Friday, April 17th from 4-6pm with a memorial service to begin at 6pm in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer, MA.

Maureen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
