As of 11:30 am 3/9/2026 Matthew has been pulled off all life supporting systems and the doctors say it's up to him now.
Matthew as of 1:30pm 3/9/2026 has passed on, we want to thank everyone for there continued support and prayers throught this trying time.
Matthew Mccollum is my brother, and our family is facing one of the hardest moments of our lives. On February 24, while at work, Matthew suddenly fell unconscious and struck his head on the way down. The impact caused severe brain bleeds along with a number of other serious complications. He was airlifted to Skyline hospital, where he remains in critical condition and has not yet regained consciousness. Every day since has been filled with uncertainty, worry, and hope as we wait for signs of improvement.
The length of Matthew's hospital stay continues to grow, and with no clear end in sight, the costs for his extended care and ongoing testing are mounting quickly. Our family is doing everything we can to support him, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. We are reaching out to our community and beyond, asking for help to cover these essential medical expenses so Matthew can receive the best possible care on his road to recovery.
I want to thank all of you for being there to help support my family in this time of need. The well wishes and prayers of all you kind people are a true boon to us in this trying time. Any support you can offer—whether through donations, sharing our story, or keeping Matthew in your thoughts—means the world to us. Thank you for standing with us as we fight for Matthew's recovery.
