Hi, I’m an extended family member of Matt Pollice. I offered to set this page up for Matt and his family because their situation is overwhelming, and I know Matt would never do this for himself. But, everyone needs help at some point in their lives, and right now Matt and his family truly need the support of their community. My hope is that together we can lift them up and help ease some of the financial stress they are facing during this incredibly difficult time.

Matt Pollice is a 45-year-old Healthcare Aide/ Environmental Services worker, who has dedicated his entire adult life to caring for others. Matt has always been the first to step up, offering comfort, compassion, and unwavering support to those in need. (He recently received the Guardian Angel Award for defending a Nurse from a violent patient.) Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

Recently, Matt received the devastating diagnosis of esophageal cancer, which has spread to the surrounding lymph nodes. He is preparing to undergo intensive treatment in Ottawa and will be off work for a minimum of 12 weeks. As you can imagine, the emotional, physical, and financial toll of this journey is overwhelming.

Matt and his family are facing countless appointments, travel back and forth to Ottawa, and the many unexpected expenses that come with a life-altering illness. While they are doing everything they can to stay strong and focused on Matt’s recovery, they could truly use some extra support during this incredibly difficult time.

All funds raised will go directly to Matt and his family. Your support will help with travel to appointments, overnight stays, the significant loss of income, and the cost of the specialized diet Matt now requires as part of his treatment and recovery.
