Matt is our coworker, teammate, and friend. He is a 42-year-old husband and father of three who shows up every day with a strong work ethic, reliability, and a deep commitment to providing for his family. Recently, Matt received the life-changing diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer. He immediately began treatment and, despite the physical and emotional toll, has continued to report to work—demonstrating remarkable strength, perseverance, and humility throughout it all.

Just before Christmas, Matt and his family experienced a house fire that caused significant damage and left their home unlivable. While the recovery and repair process is still being evaluated, the family was forced to temporarily leave their home and is currently staying with in-laws as they work through next steps. This fundraiser was not requested by Matt or his family. It was organized by his coworkers—people who work alongside Matt every day, often spending more time together during the week than we do with our own families. In our line of work, we rely on one another, and when someone in our work family is facing hardship, we come together. That is simply what we do.

Funds raised will help support temporary living expenses, medical costs, and everyday needs while Matt focuses on his health and his family navigates the recovery and insurance process. Our goal is to relieve some of the financial strain during an already overwhelming time so Matt can concentrate on what matters most. Any contribution—no matter the amount—is sincerely appreciated.
