Anyone who knows Mathieu knows his kindness, his warm heart, and the way he lights up every room he walks into. Today, he needs prayers, love and support while fighting the most important battle in his life.

On Monday night, November 24th, Mathieu was walking when he was struck by a vehicle and rushed to the hospital. Just days before Thanksgiving — a holiday he normally spends surrounded by family and joy — everything changed in an instant.

Mathieu is currently in the ICU at Kings County Hospital, New York in very critical condition with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and a broken leg. He remains on life support and has not yet woken up, but he continues to fight with all the strength he has. His family is holding onto hope and asking for your prayers, love, and positive thoughts as he pushes through this incredibly difficult battle.

His mom is by his side every single day — talking to him, comforting him, and believing that he will overcome this. The family is doing everything they can to support him and prepare for what we hope will be a long but successful journey toward recovery.

We are raising funds to help cover urgent and unexpected expenses, including:

• ICU and life support care

• A medical bed and home care equipment

• Medication and therapy services

• Nurse check-ins and rehabilitation

• Hospital transportation once he is stable

• Housing and essential living expenses while staying close to him
