UPDATE: Thank you everyone that has donated so far. We found out today that Mathew is going to need extensive surgery on his foot and leg. He snapped all the ligaments in his foot, broke 4 out of 5 toe bones at the base, dislocated his ankle bones and much more including his leg. 3 massive injuries in one. He will be out of commission for up to 12 weeks. This has been life altering for us. We’re hoping and praying that everything goes smoothly. Please share! Anything helps our little family. My name is Kassandra, and I’m reaching out for support during an unexpected and difficult time for our family of four.

My husband, Mathew, was recently in a serious dirt bike accident. He suffered multiple broken bones in his foot and a fractured fibula. He’s currently unable to walk, and we’re awaiting news on whether he’ll need surgery. Until then, he’s in a cast and wheelchair-bound while managing pain and healing.

Mathew runs his own tree and yard care business, which means if he can’t work — there’s no income. Right now, he physically can’t take on any jobs while he recovers. Our son’s birthday is just around the corner, and while Mathew’s in good spirits, it’s been heartbreaking watching our kids worry about their dad.

We’re asking for help to cover the medical expenses until we’re able to get new insurance. This includes:

• A medical-grade wheelchair

• Prescription costs

• Surgery (if needed)

• Copays and appointments
