Support for Master Chase in Memory of his mom Geri

Donation protected
Sadly, Master Chase is suffering a great loss with the unexpected death of his mother Geri. He is facing this tremendous shock with strength and faith, however, he has many other overwhelming responsibilities and expenses to face compounding the bewilderment of grieving this terrible loss.  Master Chase truly views the members of our Taekwondo Community to be a special part of his extended family, and Geri felt the same.  Many others feel this way and have asked how they can help.

Master Chase has been an integral part of our school and team of WCT Masters. His dedication to his students, team weapons members, and passion about the importance of practical self-defense in Taekwondo are evident in his teaching, years of service as a judge at competitions, and countless demonstrations for community service.

We would like to show our love and support for Master Chase through this most difficult time by collecting funds to help offset some of the expenses associated with Geri's untimely passing.  At only 23 years of age, it's rather daunting for him.  Any amount will help make a difference in relieving some of his burden.

We thank you all for your kindness and concern for Master Chase. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful Taekwondo community.

Sincerely,

Master Kim and All of our World Champion Taekwondo Family

Announcement & Service details:
It is with great sorrow that we must inform you of the passing of Geri Cech.

Sadly, Ms. Geri passed away on Thursday September 3rd.  As many of you know, Geri was Master Chase’s mother as well as an important part of our office staff over the past several years. Additionally, she was a valued member of our WCT team of volunteers since the earlier days of the organization. You likely remember seeing her at our tournaments over the years, running a bake sale table, or as a Table manager, keeping score records. Ms. Geri will be missed by so many, especially the friends she made here at World Champion Taekwondo.

Please keep Master Chase, Geri’s family, and close friends in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time of mourning.

Geri’s visitation hours will be held at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, on Saturday September 19th between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  A memorial service will also take place beginning at 6:30 in the Chapel Area.
