On April 20, 2025, a devastating tragedy struck our family and community. Our beloved cousin, Leila Seyed Faraji, and her 7-year-old daughter, Rosa, tragically lost their lives during the recent flooding in Oklahoma. Leila leaves behind her loving husband, Masoud, and their 10-year-old daughter, Hannah, who survived the tragedy. Leila and Masoud started their PhD in 2008. Over the years, they were blessed with two daughters—Hannah and Rosa. Together, they formed a beautiful, loving family who were cherished by everyone who knew them.

Leila and Masoud were among the kindest, most generous, and compassionate people you could ever meet. They were the heart of their community, always bringing people together and opening their home to anyone in need. They never turned away a request for help and gave selflessly, always with warm smiles and open arms. To many, they were not just friends—they were family.

Leila was a kind and warm soul, a deeply loving mother who always put her family first.

Masoud and Hannah now face the unimaginable—rebuilding their lives while grieving deeply. As the only family they have in the U.S., I am organizing this campaign to provide immediate and long-term support.
