Hey y'all...

Last night (Wednesday, August 6th), my mom was rushed to the emergency room, where doctors discovered she had a brain bleed and had suffered a stroke. They performed emergency surgery to stop the bleeding, and this morning, they successfully woke her from a short coma. So far, she is doing well and is currently in the ICU for monitoring. They plan to transfer her to another room soon for continued observation and therapy. From what I understand, she'll likely stay in the hospital for at least another week before moving to transitional housing for occupational and physical therapy.

There's a lot of uncertainty about her future and the extent of the damage she may have sustained. Because she is self-employed, she doesn’t have any short- or long-term disability benefits available. All donations will help cover her bills, hospital expenses, and any other needs while she is unable to work.
