Support for Mary Kay’s End-of-Life Costs

Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,

I’m reaching out to share that my mother, Mary (Kay) Marin, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. At this point, life-saving treatment is not an option. As you can imagine, this news has been completely earth-shattering.

She was first diagnosed in 2021 with colon cancer. She began treatment and was in remission for about a year when she found out she had cancer of the small intestine. That cancer has now spread into her liver and kidneys with an additional diagnosis of esophageal cancer. She is now declining rapidly; however, her spirits are high, and she is staying positive.

If you know my mother, you know she has the biggest heart and goes above and beyond for her loved ones, her community, and for all animals she comes across. My mother has had to support me years after she expected due to my chronic illness and has always gone above and beyond in my times of need. Now it’s my turn to do the same. Her life was not easy, but I will do everything in my power to make sure her death is filled with the peace she has been chasing for many years.

We know what is coming, so we are planning ahead. The financial burden is weighing upon us heavily during this time, making it hard to focus on the time she has left.

We’re hoping to raise funds to cover cremation, funeral services, bills, shipment of all of her belongings she spent her life collecting, and any unforeseen end-of-life costs. Every donation, no matter how small, would make a world of difference during this already incredibly difficult time.
