My mom, Mary Galle, has been fighting cirrhosis for several years. Recently, we learned she has decompensated cirrhosis, which is the end stage of this disease. I did everything I could to get her on the liver transplant list at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, but this past Wednesday, she began experiencing severe stomach pains. We had to call an ambulance, and she was transported to Integris Baptist Medical Center, where we stayed for three days. On the third day, the doctors placed a tube in her stomach. Mary made the difficult decision to choose hospice care, as she was simply too tired to continue fighting for a transplant.
Now, she is at home with me, her two granddaughters, her grandson, my fiancé, and my brother. We are cherishing every moment we have left with her, but the reality is that she may only have one more day. Our family is facing overwhelming medical bills and the urgent need to prepare for funeral expenses. I never imagined I would have to ask for help, but we truly need support right now.
The funds raised will go directly toward covering Mary’s medical bills and funeral costs. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us honor her and ease the financial burden during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for considering a donation and for supporting our family when we need it most.
