It is with the heaviest heart that we share the passing of our sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter, cousin, and auntie Courtney Ferguson. There are no words yet that can describe how our family feels, other than immense pain and heart break.

My mother and father, Mary and Ben Cardoza, are grieving deeply, the type of grief that only a parent can feel that outlive their child. This is something no one should ever experience and they have not yet been able to return to work since her passing.

We are asking our community to help us give my mother and father the time they need to mourn without the stress of losing their home or falling into debt while they process this loss, and most importantly to give Courtney the memorial she deserves. We want her to be remembered, honored and respected at the highest level we can offer and we need our village in order to do that.

There will be a family only private viewing in the coming days and then a public Memorial to honor her memory and life as we are able to fundraise and give her the celebration she deserves.

We as a family also want to urge anyone experiencing suicidal thoughts, ideations, and those struggling with depression to reach out to 988 via text or phone call in moments of crisis, to know that no matter how deep your hurt may be, you are so very loved, and wanted and needed in this world.
