Support for Martin and Butler Family Recovery

Story

My family was involved in a horrible accident. There is long journey to recovery. Saturday, June 21, 2025, my mother, niece, and nephew were struck head-on and sustained serious injuries. We are past the first of surgeries as I am writing this post Sunday, June 21. The impact of this crash has altered their lives permanently - physically and emotionally. My sister will be out of work for some time and the medical bills will be likely astronomical. Any contribution helps. If you would like to donate directly, I have their Venmo handles attached below. Keep the Martin and Butler family in your thoughts and prayers and thank you for those that have reached out to the family personally. My sister, Laura Martin, is keeping updates on Facebook if you would like to follow this journey with us. Venmo: @Jama-Martin her profile picture is a picture of her and my niece, Aaliyah @Laura-Martin-459 her profile picture is of herself Update 6/28/25: We are 1 week past the accident. My mother and niece are still admitted to Vanderbilt. Jama is in good spirits, trying to wean off the pain medications on her own terms. Unfortunately, her broken ribs are limiting how deep she can comfortably breathe, so many of the medications are still needed. They want to start getting her up more and moving as best as she can. Aaliyah is eager to go home but spiking fevers is preventing this. She is getting more and more active every day and even took a tour around her hospital floor in her wheelchair yesterday. It will be a large adjustment for my sister once they transition to home due to her limited ability to move and adjust herself. Looking into medical equipment like a hospital bed and chair so we can adjust her more easily once she is home. Thank you to those who have generously donated to their cause. Thank you for the kind words and support. We need all the positivity we can get! Please reach out to me if you have any questions on how to help contribute outside of this fundraising account. Keep the thoughts, prayers, and all the good vibes coming! Stay Safe, Martha Martin and the Martin Family
