I am Catalina, the mother of Martin, my 9-year-old son, and he is my world. His father, Raul, and I separated a few years ago, and Martin has had a very loving relationship with both of us. Tragically, his father was murdered at a Christmas celebration 4 days before Christmas. Each day, Martin would speak to his father, and now he comes to me and says, "My father didn't call today." He knows his father is gone but doesn't fully understand everything. My heart breaks for my son and the loss of his father.

We are trying to raise money for the the costs of counseling, therapy, and civil legal fees against the attacker, along with any other expenses my son might have as we navigate through this very difficult time. We appreciate your prayers and support and thank you dearly.
