On Thursday, my family experienced an unimaginable tragedy when my nephew lost his life due to gun violence. His life was taken far too soon at the tender age of 17, leaving our hearts broken. My niece Tajonnia is facing the overwhelming pain of losing her firstborn son. As her aunt, I am asking for support during this difficult time.

This was a senseless tragedy that left a community shattered and a family struggling to cope with the loss of Marlon, who was everything to his family. His passing has left a void that can never be filled. The healing journey will be long. The trauma of that fateful night will stay with us forever.
