Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help on behalf of my dear friend, Mark Skiba, who is bravely battling bowel cancer. Mark is a friend and colleague whose remarkable strength and positivity during the most difficult time has touched us all deeply.
Mark was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in August 2023. Since then he has undergone more than 25 cycles of chemotherapy, surgery and many blood transfusions. However, he now needs a third line of chemotherapy, which is not Medicare funded and will cost him over $15,000 per month. Despite his incredible strength and determination, the expenses associated with these treatments are overwhelming and beyond what most people can bear on their own.
To ensure that Mark receives the best possible care and has the opportunity to focus on healing without the stress of financial worries, we have set up this crowdfunding campaign. The funds raised will go directly towards chemotherapy treatments, medical bills, and associated costs, allowing Mark to concentrate on his treatment journey.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network would be immensely helpful. Together, we can show Mark that he is not alone in this fight and that we stand with him every step of the way.
We appreciate your generosity in supporting him through what is the most difficult time in his life. Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help.
