Mark and Lynn Wilson have dedicated their lives to helping others. As educators, they spent decades pouring their energy, compassion, and wisdom into the lives of students, colleagues, and their community. Lynn has bravely battled Parkinson's disease for over 30 years, and in recent years, her need for care has grown to nearly 24 hours a day. Through it all, Mark has been her steadfast caregiver, ensuring she could remain at home surrounded by love and comfort.
This past week, everything changed when Mark was hospitalized with heart issues. He is scheduled for heart valve surgery on Monday, March 16th, and will need months to fully recover. During this time, it will be impossible for him to provide the round-the-clock care Lynn needs. Our family is determined to keep Lynn at home, but we need help to make that possible. We are seeking funds to provide home health care and to purchase equipment to prevent falls and keep caregivers safe.
Mark and Lynn have always been the first to offer support to others, but asking for help is not easy for them. We know there are hundreds of people whose lives they have touched, and we hope that those who are able will consider giving back. Your support will help us keep Lynn safe and comfortable at home while Mark recovers, and it will mean the world to our family.
