On September 9, 2025, Mark suffered a cardiac arrest while on an Alaskan cruise. His wife, Eryn, bravely performed CPR that saved his life. He was taken by medevac to Anchorage, Alaska, where he is being managed by a skilled critical care team. There are many unknowns currently in regards to Mark's neurologic recovery. However, he is fighting hard with the support of his parents, brother, and Eryn who are all with him in Alaska.

Mark is fiercely loved by his friends and family. He is the absolute best brother to my husband, dad to his two young kids (Max and Nora), son, and husband to Eryn. Our family is seeking continued positive thoughts, love, support, and prayers during this challenging time.
