Support for Marivelli Leon's Memorial

Hello everyone! My friends, family, Onewheel community, and everyone in between. My name is Dan, and I’ve had the pleasure of living next to my neighbors, Sara and Adrian, here in Colorado for 10 years! We have been through thick and thin together, and over the years we’ve become very close.

This weekend, the unimaginable happened, and they tragically lost their 7-year-old daughter, Marivelli Leon, very suddenly and unexpectedly. Words cannot describe the incredible loss they are experiencing, and we want to help out as much as we can.

Marivelli was a vibrant and compassionate young girl whose warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. I could always count on her coming into the garage and cheering me up after a long day of work. Her level of stoke for the Onewheel was immediate, and after a couple of laps around the block, she would say, “I like speed!” I used to tow her and her siblings around in a wagon on the Onewheel when they were younger until they got their own board to ride. She and her siblings give you hope that kids still live life in the fast lane. You could catch her and her siblings riding skateboards down the hill, screaming and laughing all the way down. Mari was so incredibly special. She had a unique ability to light up any room with her infectious laughter and imaginative stories. Her love for animals reflected her gentle spirit and kind ways. We will miss having her around so, so much. She left behind cherished memories of her boundless imagination, kind heart, and love for animals.

I want the absolute best for my friends. Seeing them go through this has been so difficult for me and everyone that knows them. While we cannot take away their pain, we can help by easing the financial strain.

The expenses of an unexpected passing add significant pressure on families already dealing with overwhelming grief. We want our friends to be able to take a breath, be surrounded by their loved ones, and take time to heal.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the funeral and memorial expenses for Marivelli. Any additional funds raised will go directly to Adrian and Sara to support them in the coming weeks as they take time off work to mourn and reflect on the precious life of their daughter.

We are asking friends, family, and community members to contribute whatever they can, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign. No amount is too small, and each contribution will go a long way. Let’s come together to honor Marivelli’s beautiful life and show Adrian and Sara that they are not alone in this time of unimaginable loss.
