Our family is heartbroken over the recent loss of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Mario Castorena. After a massive stroke, and a long battle with his health, he passed on December 4th, surrounded by family. He was the heart of our family, always there with a kind word, a helping hand, and unconditional love. He brought joy, laughter, and warmth to every moment. His fun-loving spirit made him unforgettable, and he touched the hearts of so many. As the man of our family, Mario provided strength, guidance, and support every day. His absence has left a void that we cannot fill, and navigating life without him will be a challenge for all of us. We take comfort knowing he is now in the loving arms of Jesus.
As we face the unimaginable loss of Mario, we want to honor his memory and give him the funeral he truly deserves. Unfortunately, arranging a meaningful farewell is more than we can manage alone. We are reaching out for help so we can celebrate Mario’s life in a way that reflects the love and respect we have for him.
If you are able to contribute in any way—whether it’s a donation, sharing the link, or simply keeping us in your prayers—it would mean the world to us. Contributions will go towards medical bills and funeral services. Due to the nature of his employment, he did not have life insurance at that time. By coming together, we can focus on healing and honoring Mario’s memory.
Your support, love, and messages have already brought so much comfort to our family, and we’re truly grateful to all of you. Thank you for being here for us during one of the hardest moments of our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate anything you are able to do. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
In lieu of flowers and meals, please consider donating to these foundations in honor of Mario:
If there are any questions, or if you would like to direct pay to Paula's Zelle, please contact Mario's oldest daughter, Christina.
We are planning to have his funeral service in January and will continue to update as we get more information.
