My heart is heavy as we say goodbye to my father, Mario Rosales. He was a hardworking man with a generous soul — the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. For 35 years he worked at Winnetka Square, always doing his best and always putting his family first. For the past two years, my father bravely battled kidney failure, becoming a dialysis patient and fighting every day to stay strong. During that time, our family cared for him with love. My mother, Lucina, stood faithfully by his side, and I had the honor of caring for him as his daughter and caregiver — taking him to dialysis, doctor appointments, and being there for him day and night. Losing him has left a hole in our hearts that words cannot describe.

He was the provider for our family, and now we are facing the difficult reality of funeral expenses and supporting my mother as she navigates life without the love of her life after 50 years of marriage.
