Hey there, family and friends.

Late Tuesday night in October 8th, my mom Marie Walker was involved in a car accident in Moab.

As she was leaving Josh’s house from visiting, they were driving down the highway, and a truck pulled out in front of them that was trying to cross, and they hit him going at least 60 mph.

The guy in the other truck had minimal injuries.

But my mom took on most of the injuries.

She's suffering from a broken femur, a broken tibia, a fractured pelvis, sternum, and multiple ribs.

She was flight-for-lifed down to St. Mary’s in Grand Junction where she received surgery yesterday to fix her femur and another surgery tonight to fix her tibia. As far as the fractures, there isn’t much they can do about those but to let them try and heal on their own.

She’s in a lot of pain, but she’s stable. She’s been sleeping most of the time, and they have her on pain meds to help her cope with the pain.

My mom has quite the recovery ahead of her, as does Larry. They will have to adjust to their new life with these injuries.

My mom is one of the most giving humans you will ever meet. She work hard to earn an honest living and would give the shirt off her back to a stranger. She is the type of person to show up at the drop of a dime and won’t hesitate to go out of her way to help.

her grand babies are anxious for her to feel better. She lovesnothing more than being grandparents.
